Of course Peter would take this as a joke, even when all indications point otherwise. Edmund pries his eyes off of the curtains and all their wondrous glory in favor of lolling his head against the back of the recliner, hopefully nonchalantly. There's a stiffness to it, though, that impedes the gesture from being what he wanted.
